Peter Sis

Peter Sis (Petr Sís) is an internationally acclaimed author, artist, and filmmaker. Born in Brno, Czechoslovakia, he graduated in 1974 from the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague and then studied at the Royal College of Art in London. He has been a US citizen since 1988.

I was introduced to his work through his black and white illustrations for The Whipping Boy. His style is sometimes Pointillistic. His more colorful works are even more lovely – I’d love to see them in person.
